Dedicated assembly training line sets new standards in production

STIHL Tirol has introduced a newly developed assembly training line to further enhance structured onboarding in production. The facility, which is already in operation, was created in collaboration with Kufstein University of Applied Sciences and MCI (Management Center Innsbruck).

New employees practise key production steps under realistic conditions across six assembly stations and one packaging station. In this calm environment free from time pressure, they systematically familiarise themselves with workflows before transitioning to the main assembly line safely, confidently and well prepared. The programme combines a theoretical introduction with hands-on practical exercises.

Practical learning, confident application

The training line imparts the core competencies required for day-to-day operations:

  • Screw and fastening technology: correct joining methods and safe operation of screw systems
  • Electrical & wiring: cable routing in accordance with specifications and professional installation of switches
  • Labelling & adhesive processes: precise application of labels and quality verification
  • Material preparation: safe handling of greases, tools and equipment
  • Packaging & final inspection: standards-compliant packaging and final quality assurance

Higher quality from the start

The structured training framework ensures a smooth and safe onboarding process while contributing to stable and reliable production operations.

The benefits at a glance:

  • Faster onboarding into new areas of responsibility
  • Improved process quality and reduced training time
  • Learning within a controlled training environment
  • Consistent understanding of quality standards
