Langkampfen, 19 March 2025
On 12 March 2025, STIHL Tirol, the garden equipment manufacturer and cordless specialist based in Langkampfen, was honoured at a ceremony organised by the Social Ministry Service Tyrol (Sozialministeriumservice Tirol) for its exemplary commitment to employing people with disabilities and health impairments. The company previously received this accolade in 2015, 2019 and 2022, and has earned this recognition once again.
STIHL Tirol Managing Director Jan Grigor Schubert and Works Council Chairman Markus Gstrein expressed their pride in receiving the award, stating: "Social responsibility has played a major role at STIHL Tirol for many years. This is not just about creating opportunities and opening doors but also about recognising that people with disabilities are an asset for everyone at the company. Inclusion fosters diversity, which enriches our teams and makes us all stronger.”
The integration of people with disabilities is part of STIHL Tirol’s mission statement, with a firm stance against all forms of discrimination and racism. The company also regularly engages in social sponsorship campaigns, such as initiatives with SOS Children’s Villages and the RollOn association. Additionally, STIHL Tirol offers work trails and internships for young people who require additional support. The latest work trials were held very recently at the plant in Langkampfen.
